LowMailAvailable

Your server.
Your e-mail.

An e-mail client for any IMAP and SMTP server, on the desktop, on Android and in the browser. On the web, it replaces Roundcube without changing anything on your mail server.

In your daily work

The e-mail you know, without the weight.

One engine, on the desktop and in the browser.

Any mail server

IMAP to read, SMTP to send and ManageSieve for filters. There is no LowMail component on the server: point it at the same hosts and ports your team already uses.

Webmail in place of Roundcube

One binary or one Docker container. New mail arrives right away through IMAP IDLE, and the list scrolls through tens of thousands of messages without stalling.

Safe reading

Message HTML is cleaned on the server and shown in isolation. Remote images stay blocked until you allow them, once or always for that sender.

Filters that run on the server

Rules on sender, recipient, subject, body or header, and the vacation auto-reply with dates. They work even with LowMail closed.

Your password does not stay on the server.

In the webmail, the password lives only in the session's memory and is gone when the session ends. On the desktop, it goes to the Windows Credential Manager, the macOS Keychain or the Linux Secret Service; on Android, to the app's private storage.

Updates

New versions, straight from GitHub.

Installed copies on Windows, macOS and AppImage update themselves from signed releases; packages and portable copies let you know when a new version exists. The macOS app is not notarized yet, so the first launch needs a right click and Open.

Your inbox starts here.

Download the app and sign in with your e-mail address and password: LowMail finds the servers and ports on its own. For the webmail, start the container and put it behind your HTTPS reverse proxy.
